Hello!
I am excited to meet you.
My name is Avery and I am a full spectrum doula. My goal is to listen to you and support you in preparing for a dignified, confident, and whole-person centered experience for your pregnancy journey.

I moved to Boston in 2015 to complete my Masters’ degree at Boston University School of Public Health. I was immediately ignited by the topics covered in my Maternal & Child Health coursework and went on to my first job in the non-profit space to focus on infant mortality, lactation and safe sleep practices, and quality improvement in hospital settings. It was a combination of these experiences that instilled in me a deep sense of injustice for the differential treatment of pregnant people in our society.
At the same time, I became deeply involved in pro-choice advocacy work in Massachusetts and have since spent a great deal of time in the community hosting interactive awareness events and fundraisers to build support for protected and expanded abortion access in our state. When I learned about full-spectrum doulas I knew that it was a calling for me to merge my public health training and advocacy into one role. I first trained as a Birth-Doula through DONA and then went on to become certified as a Full-Spectrum Doula with Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings.
Currently, I am a part-time doula and work full-time in the Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare space. I aim to support people holistically and I work hard to foster trust, transparency, and a deep sense of belonging for all of my clients and their support people.
